Product Description
Activins are dimeric growth and differentiation factors that belong to the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) superfamily of structurally related signaling proteins. Activin type 2 receptors modulate signals from ligands belonging to the transforming growth factor beta ligand superfamily. The activin receptor type 2B is a protein that, in humans, is encoded by the ACVR2B gene. These include: Activin (or Inhibin), bone morphogenetic proteins and Nodal. They are involved in several physiological processes including growth, cell differentiation, homeostasis, osteogenesis, apoptosis, etc. There are two type two Activin receptors: ACVR2A and ACVR2B.
